Mrs Chu is the epitome of the traditional Chinese housewife. She gave up a career in nursing when she married Dr Chu and followed him to New Zealand.

Neil is a proud, let-it-all-hang-out nerd. He is an eternal student, doing a PhD in Computer Science.
